This year I finally made it to Istanbul pride, and I am glad I did! The event was a great success: a happy celebration of the local community. Probably more than a celebration the pride was of great political value for the local community. Being visible in big numbers is still an important tool for showing the very existence of the community.
Tonight I went with a little boat on the Turkish canals together with some friends. I think that's one of the greatest things to do when living in Amsterdam.
